Partis pour disputer la victoire à Jari-Matti Latvala, Sébastien Loeb et Daniel Elena n’ont pu défendre leurs chances jusqu’à l’arrivée. Percutés par une voiture roulant à contre-sens sur un secteur de liaison, l’équipage du Citroën Total World Rally Team a été contraint à l’abandon au début de cette dernière journée de course. Cela n’a pas empêché Citroën Racing de fêter les octuples Champions du Monde* sur le podium final de Cardiff ! Sébastien Ogier et Julien Ingrassia terminent l’épreuve à la 11e place.
